As a young boy in 1981 I remember a trip my family had to cancel to the west coast of Florida with my father's aunt who was visiting from India because Tropical Storm Dennis was bearing down on the Florida Coast. Having moved to Florida two years prior and having been threatened by Hurricane David in 1979 and Hurricane Allen in 1980, this was becoming way too familar.
