Source: Marlins talking to Torborg and Girardi

Could Jeff Torborg be back in the Marlins dugout? Torborg, whose 2002 and early 2003 teams underachieved is being "strongly considered" a source told Kartik's World this afternoon for a return to the bench to replace that all but certain to be fired Jack McKeon. McKeon replaced Torborg in May 2003 and led the Marlins to a World Series title that fall.

The Marlins it has been reported in several news outlets have asked the Yankees for permission to speak to Bench Coach Joe Girardi a longtime former Major League Catcher who has a close relationship with Marlins owner Jeffery Loria. Our source indicates the Yankees have granted the Marlins permission to speak to Girardi.

I am a Mets Fan so you guys can do whatever you want to further destroy your last place team. No thanks for giving Leiter to the Yankees for nothing. How stupid can your front office be?
